Parametric Design and Digital Fabrication Workshop


It will take place 24 to 31 July 2011 in the town of Vietri sul Mare, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, the second edition of Parametric Design Workshop and Digital Fabrication. The laboratory-based design and manufacturing processes and digital parametric design software (Rhino / Grasshopper) will be held by the founders of Co-de-it Erioli Alessio and Andrea Graziano.

Encouraged by the success of last year, the architects Amleto Picerno Ceraso and Vangelis Moschonas, Project leader, have chosen for this second edition of the Workshop theme suggestive entitled “Vertical Seaside, Amalfi Coast Workshop”Aimed at focusing attention on the recovery of an area of ??the Amalfi Coast which is currently in conditions of degradation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for participants to Workshop Digital Med exploration project led by logic-parametric generative will be joined to a digital production and, through the use of interface software cad / cam, we will proceed directly to the prototyping of design ideas.

The best project carried out during the workshop will be awarded with a plaque of merit.

Digital Med The workshop, sponsored by the Scientific Committee headed by Prof. Pasquale Belfiore, president of the National Institute of Architecture In / Arch – Campania and Arch. Gabriella Maria Alfano, president of ‘Order ofArchitects of the Province of Salerno, Acts as target to provide participants with a wealth of techniques, theories and methods using parametric design software and digital fabrication machines.

The working groups will be followed during all training from two exceptional mentors: Andrea Graziano and Alessio Erioli, Members of the Co-de-en and exponents of digital fabrication Parametric and architecture.

To assist them, a team of professionals and experts in digital manufacturing from Spain, Greece and Italy.

Open to all those who want to learn the knowledge and use of the most innovative existing design methodologies, Workshop on Digital Med also enjoys the participation of the University ‘of Thessaly in Greece, the Faculty of Architecture in Naples and the National Association of Builders.
